Lead screw pitch change

Hello,
I am giving away my D7, but curious if this is a simple coding fix prior to me sending to new owner.

I changed the lead screw from the 8mm pitch to a 2mm pitch. I added the M92 G1600.00 code at the bottom of the "boot up code" and changed the speed a bit and everything worked perfectly fine. An update awhile ago left these codes useless and it seems that Nano defaults now to the 8mm pitch regardless of the codes entered.

Is there a new code to have Nano use the correct steps for the modified 2mm lead screw?

Thank you

Bigfilsing... As far as just changing the lead screw pitch adjustment from 8mm to 2mm and leaving everything else stock...yes, I have tried all imagineable settings and restarted the ras pi and printer with every adjustment made.

Re: Lead screw pitch change

Hi. An 8 mm pitch sounds much too big for any lead screw I've ever seen. Are you sure that's correct.

Its your control boards firmware that needs to know the steps per mm as well

Re: Lead screw pitch change

You should change settings on RAMPS side. It has nothing to do with options on nanodlp side as only millimeter unit being used between RAMPS and NanoDLP.

Re: Lead screw pitch change

From terminal tab you can send command to RAMPS to change parameters but some parameters are hard coded I am not sure you need to edit firmware regarding to ball screw or sending command from terminal is enough.

Re: Lead screw pitch change

In terminal send M92 Z???. Then send M500 to save to the EEPROM.
