Sub pixel resolution

It is possible to implement the "Sub pixel resolution for 3D DLP printing"

Re: Sub pixel resolution

Result should be close to anti-alias.

Re: Sub pixel resolution

The 8x Anti-aliasing (AA) feature of NanoDLP is not that close to this sub-pixel concept as one might expect.
AA is only working in lateral direction and not in the vertical direction as shown in the presentation.
Watch starting from 4:07 in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qTAmPrHLow
Or the full 45min tech talk from IAM here - vertical subpixel resolution discussion starts 35:07 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsK7An7ymYk

Of course, these grey-values are not that easy to to implement with an RGB LCD as a single pixel consists of R, 2G, B sub-pixels and this could change the pixel geometry while dimming.
But, in the end, this has to be calibrated anyways and only enough parameters have to be accessible for the hardcore tinkerers. wink
