Re: Projector mask generator question

Ok, I just got what you means. Mask file automatically generated on Pi and not on your windows pc and replaces main mask automatically.

Re: Projector mask generator question

What if I incidently remove the mask? How to place the generated mask again? Or I should make the UV scaning again and generate a new mask?

Re: Projector mask generator question

If you would like to take a backup, easiest way is to enter address below (change ip to rpi's ip)
http://ip/static/plates/mask.png

Re: Projector mask generator question

I can not upload image here but I removed the mask before open this discusion.
I have made a quick test with a new mask, and now I understand how to proceed. Unfortunately I will need to make all the UV scanning again. Thank you for the support Shahi.

Having a similar problem. The mask generator doesn't seem to be "smoothing" like it did in previous versions.

Re: Projector mask generator question

It is not same, you need more measurement points if you need something more smooth.

Re: Projector mask generator question

What is the recommended number of cells for 39 micron XY resolution to have a smooth image? I have had a wrong understanding that the software will make some calculation after scanning and the generated image will look like a "cloud", not  like mine.

Re: Projector mask generator question

More bluring will cause cloudy looks, but it would not translate to better quality.
I add an option to control amount of bluring to the beta version.

What you have shared in my opinion is hardly could happens with projector lens. Segment needs to be much closer in brightness to each other.

Re: Projector mask generator question

Thanks Shahin, I will make a new scaning with more cells and will test how the mask will work. My current mask is just a quick test to see how the mask generator work.

Re: Projector mask generator question

1,,,For example, I adjusted the mask to the points, then brought it to the screen
A non-smoothed mask is displayed,
With square boundaries, which makes verification difficult
This mask is that in the middle,
As output to the screen, the smoothed mask, which is on the right?
2,,,If the mask is ready and saved
How to output it again to the mask generator,To edit
Do not start every time from the beginning
