How to install NanoDLP - Video Guide

I'm working on publishing a project for a DLP printer that I designed, and since many of the people who might read it may not be familiar with how a Raspberry Pi works or how to load an image file onto an SD card for one, I created a quick video tutorial of how it's done. The folks on this forum already have that figured out of course, but I figured that it was worth sharing here anyway in case new users are having trouble and are searching for a self help resource. The video is not monetized in any way, and it's part of the instructions for an open source design, so it's free and clear. Feel free to share and forward as you like. Also, let me know if you have suggestions or updates to improve it.
Thanks.

p.s. Is there a nifty way to embed the video on this forum page?

Looks good, thank you.
Added to nanodlp channel on youtube.

There is no way to embed videos here.

Re: How to install NanoDLP - Video Guide

I've also got one for loading the GRBL hex to an arduino:
https://youtu.be/rUPKBf2vILg

And another one for finding your Arduino's USB address and entering it into the NanoDLP settings:

*One note, I've already found an inconsistency between the videos. The hex file I download in the one video isn't the version that I refer to in the second. I think the only difference between them that matters is the Baud rate, but it's still worth mentioning in case anyone is following along verbatim.

Re: How to install NanoDLP - Video Guide

Jim,

These videos are quite useful. Lots people get frustrated trying setup their 3D printer I have seen some people try make basic installation work for a more than a month!!

Could I embedded these videos on nanodlp website somewhere with additional text and etc?

Very nice tutorials Jim,
Thanks for sharing !

I am wondering, why you choose GRBL 0.9j over some other version, particularly one of the 1.1 ones?

I made the videos using whatever precompiled hex was available at the time. Newer updates do exist, yes.

Chances are pretty good that you'll get the exact same results, regardless of which version of GRBL you use. The continuing development of GRBL has a lot more to do with complicated motion, interpolation, feedback, fine tuning, etc. Moving a single motor up and down in a resin printer is ridiculously simple by comparison, and isn't a behavior that should change over time.
