Re: Support Orange PI lite

If you have intention to install nanodlp on the top of linux desktop, yes you can use it. But if you want it to use as replacement for rpi, it is not possible, none of these boards GPU spec open as rpi.

Re: Support Orange PI lite

Orange PI's are able to use/support Raspbian ...so bottom line should be an easy port. Just me guessing though.

Re: Support Orange PI lite

Well to make a step further... I bought this little marvel - Orange Pi Zero Plus 2 with Mali450 GPU which is able to easily support 4K not only Full-HD as Raspberry PI  does.
You can check the capability of this chip here Mali450 demo. So, bottom line this would be a great option for NanoDLP and a good replacement (even direct as the pins are the same) for RPi.

Any comments?

Re: Support Orange PI lite

RPi supports 4K.
You can use nanodlp on orange pi with or without desktop env.

you're right. RPi 3 does support a 4K at 15Hz... and I guess that in this application the refresh rate is more than enough :-)

Is it possible to use Orange Pi along with Ramps board?
Which Orange Pi models have been used so far?

Re: Support Orange PI lite

NanoDLP supports any Linux compatible ARM board. So technically close to all of boards released being supported.

But not with direct control...

Any chance of getting direct control on the Orange Pi at some stage in the future?

Re: Support Orange PI lite

Yes, only difference is probably memory address for GPIO.
But consider direct control has very limited user base. And also few people using non-rpi boards.
