piggpiod sometimes hangs and will not allow reboot

Every now and then when I try to shutdown or shutdown and reboot the process hangs until I manually kill the piggpiod then it instantly continues the shutdown process. This doesn't happen every time but something is causing it whether it is how long the process has been running or something. Release 1332 and greater all do this. I am only using gpio for the shutdown button (and lcd but this happened before I added the lcd)..

Re: piggpiod sometimes hangs and will not allow reboot

Good observation, we had issue with shutdown and reboot processes for a long time and it is very random. I did not know it caused by pigpiod. If you are not using servo shutter remove pigpiod see if it help things. And let me know the result, maybe we need to report bug against pigpiod.

Would using the soft shutdown button on gpio cause that also?

Yes, even direct sudo shutdown now on terminal does not work.
