Lower Speed Limit on Z-axis movement

Hi,

I have been playing with the Feedrate of the printer, and I am noticing some oddities about the settings and how it affects the physical movement. To start off, let me describe my set up. I am using the NanoDLP board, with a TMC2209 driver. I have it set up for 1/64 microstepping. My motor is a 1.8degree NEMA17, and my leadscrew has an 8mm pitch. I have the machine set up for 1600 pulses per mm. Distance moved is correct. However, when I try for extremely slow feedrates (I need it to go as low as 0.1mm/min), I notice that the printer instead defaults to around 1.25mm/min. Command I send is

G1 Z1 F0.1

I also played around with the microstepping, and when I change it to 1/16 and 1/32 (with corresponding changes to the steps/mm) the machine defaults to around 5mm/min and 2.5mm/min, respectively. Is this something that I can fix at the software level? I suppose I can use a 0.9 degree motor and a smaller pitch leadscrew, but I am quite frustrated that I cannot go slower. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Lower Speed Limit on Z-axis movement

I think it may caused by speed limit on firmware. Not sure what you are currently using.

Re: Lower Speed Limit on Z-axis movement

Are your referring to the build? I'm on 4356. Hardware wise, I'm using a Pi3 with the NanoDLP board from aliexpress.

Re: Lower Speed Limit on Z-axis movement

Not sure about lowest speed. I think acceleration may have effect on it.
