Is it known what causes the preview image to just be a black flat image instead of the actual model on the plate page?
All of my recent models seem to be previewed as these black images....even very simple ones like a rectangular shape with a small rectangular hole.
I do most of my modeling in OpenScad...but previously even very complex models generally previewed correctly, only a couple were bad once the preview feature was stabilized.
I can't say when this started but it has been present in all the latest releases and betas I have tried.
Thanks

When you encountered such cases, click on toggle and right click on the image and open it on a new tab. Try add random string at the end of url such as ?test
See if it does any help

when I open the image in a new tab or window I see basically the same black image....depending on which browser I use the way that single images is placed in the window is a bit different but always the same flat black...
Older images that display correctly in nanoDLP plate view also appear correctly on a new tab.
When I get info about the image I notice that older images that appear correctly are on the order of 2-3KB or more while a black image of near identical model is only about 800 bytes.

Darren, could you share a STL file + downloaded plate which contains such images?

Sent via direct email....

I have the same flat and black image problem but this only happens to me when I upload the file from USB from Nextion. When loading the STL file from a computer, the enter key does not work, nothing happens.
Uploading files via editor is all right.

Darren,
Yours also happen for HMI uploads only?
Offline
not sure what HMI is... However I upload STL files only via the web interface usually using FireFox browser. I seldom use the 3d editor...I just upload properly supported and rotated models to a new plate.

Darren,
As a workaround latest build will render flat object in green, even though it does not have shade applied it looks much better. Hopefully it helps.
