In machine settings, turn on advanced settings, then under Display Settings, set the Framebuffer Path to /dev/fb0 (it's a dropdown option).

This solution just came up, as I have had the exact same problems on the exact screen. After enabling the framebuffer, it was the first time I've ever been able to correctly display the calibration image at full resolution

thats all what i need to do ? i dont need to mess up with manufacture Config file ?  or do anything else just choose  /dev/fb0  ?
