Re: 8.9" LCD driver for projector

You are not alone with issues on this display. I'm personally still fighting with mine. If you are just using it for the Pixel desktop (not for NanoDLP purposes), then it works fine. You just have to modify your config.txt file in the boot directory of the SD card.

These settings work fine for me on the Pixel desktop (just add this to the bottom of the file):

hdmi_force_hotplug=1
hdmi_timings=2560 0 123 10 50 1600 0 12 4 4 0 0 0 50 0 222190000 5
disable_overscan=1
framebuffer_depth=24
gpu_mem=192
framebuffer_ignore_alpha=1
hdmi_cvt=2560 1600 50
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=87
hdmi_pixel_freq_limit=400000000
hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080
hvs_priority=0x32ff
max_framebuffer_width=2560
max_framebuffer_height=1600
framebuffer_width=2560
framebuffer_height=1600
config_hdmi_boost=4

If you are using this LCD for NanoDLP, it never seems to create a stable image.
