summarizing some bugs

in build 1819: everything work well but some times in some files which are repaired mesh is done, after slicing, in random layers for a same file arrangement, some patterns are missed.

in current build that can be downloaded from site in form of img file: in main page, nano dlp tries to reach to internet to show release notes and error occurs which make the connection unstable.

in latest stable build: connection problem exists and another problem is that when adding a plate, nano dlp hangs for minutes, then slicing begins, i turned off auto render imaging preview of the plate, this problem solved.

in two latest release add from usb drop-down list is empty, to solve it must do: sudo nano /lib/systemd/system/systemd-udevd.service and change MountFlags to shared or in latest usb mount, change private to no. it works only for FAT format.

Re: summarizing some bugs

I was about to create a thread, but this is more or less the same issues I am facing. Hang before it start slicing, very slow slicing speed and no 3d preview (I didn't turn it off). Plus nanodlp just reboot 30 sec after the poweroff button is pressed on the homepage.

I have tried both 2239 and stable (2235?), both have these problems. 2229 seems to work ok for me.

Thanks.

Re: summarizing some bugs

Only remaining issue on the latest beta is 3d preview which cause slowdown. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.
Between 2239~2229 not much changed which could cause above issues.

Re: summarizing some bugs

Hi shahin, still some problem exist:
1. add from usb always need to set low quality layers, otherwise it will not add the plate. also it doesn't show any notification to set it.
2. 3d preview occupy a lot of memory
3. slicing massive stl files (more than 140 MB) occupies 99% of ram
4. low quality layers not working as you explained
i also want to ask you for develop nanodlp to be compatible with laser galvos for sls 3d printing (galvos direct control)

Will check
2. 3d preview occupy a lot of memory
It is improved, difficult to decrease it more
3. slicing massive stl files (more than 140 MB) occupies 99% of ram
It is not just about STL size, what resolution you are using? Currently 140MB should be sliced easily on pi
4. low quality layers not working as you explained
Explain what happening

Re: summarizing some bugs

checked for build 2770
1. works well
3. works better than older builds
4. set low quality layers for example to 30 and low quality layer exposure time to 10 sec, in printing nothing change and it acts like there is no low quality layer feature exists at all (the print layer and exposure are the values in normal layer not in low quality layer)

another bug is that when i set burn in layer thickness for example  to 100 microns, it slices the stl to normal layer thickness that is 50 microns, not burn in thickness.

Re: summarizing some bugs

2. Substantial improvement coming
4. Fixed, it discussed on another thread

Layer thickness work like this by design. PDMS like tanks usually require such behavior.

Please, start new thread if new bug found.
