Infill settings

Hello,

I'm attempting to use the Infill setting in the Resin Profile settings.  I set it to Hexagonal and left the settings at the default and test printed a small object.  There was no infill.  Is there some setting I'm missing?  Do I have to set the default values to something more appropriate?  I'm not sure what I have to set it to.

Re: Infill settings

I'll take a stab at this.....I no longer know what the defaults are but you probably need to set some values.

Outer wall thickness specifies how thick do you want the walls(between the infill and the outside of the model)
Top Cap and Bottom cap are the numbers that specify how thick the top and bottom surfaces will be..like outer wall thickness
Basically these three parameters tell the slicer the areas you want solid (not infilled)
Infill wall size specifies how thick you want the inner walls that form the Hex pattern to be...
Finally the infill pattern width determines how densely the infill by specifying how big the spaces are in the hex infill.

so top = 7, bottom =10, outer wall =14 will give you a shell with a top 7 tines the layer thickness, a bottom 10 times the layer thickness and the sides will be 14 times the pixel size.
infill wall = .5 makes the infill pattern have .5 mm thick walls inside the model.
and a 50 in the pattern width will mean the cells will be 50 x the pixel size.

Re: Infill settings

Quick follow on questions:
1.  Using hollowing and the infill settings. Are there recommended settings for minimum walls and cap thicknesses?  ie use at least 2 layers for caps, pixel width for walls?
2.  Do these settings over-ride pixel dimming if used? ie if the wall thickness is 20 pixels and the dimming is 5, then it still uses 15 pixels that are dimmed correct?
