SERIOUS issue in new beta....

Latest Beta update causes my printer to fail to activate the UV lamp.
(using LCD /  RAMPS style printer)

I pulled the printer apart looking for a problem...found nothing.
Tried multiple times with v2376 and nothing, even calibration fails to activate UV.

I reverted to latest release version light started working again.

Updated again to latest beta, UV fails.

went back to release and UV works....

So stuck at release version 2335 for now.

......

Anyone else had this problem?
I can't imagine how this could break...almost like nano is not sending the shutter open command...but how that would get broken is a mystery
of if it gets tweaked in some setting how it would get fixed when I downgrade back to the release version seems odd.
When I get a chance I will update again and get a log dump and see if I can find the problem...

touching this topic to see if it gets a response...dev 'team' must be on break, they are usually so fast I have gotten spoiled.

Re: SERIOUS issue in new beta....

Where do you trigger shutter on/off? Is it working from projector calibration page?

Re: SERIOUS issue in new beta....

no it doesn't work from the calibration page....

Not sure what you mean 'where do you trigger the shutter'
If you mean Type is TRUE/FALSE - Physical 11, BCM 17 to switch the SSR, 500/2500ms pulse open/close and signal length of 1000ms which seems odd now.
(I didn't check if that changed after the update but it clearly changed back to something that works after the downgrade)

I have no shutter open or close Gcode.

Re: SERIOUS issue in new beta....

Updated to Beta ver: 2397

Print platform moves both up and down (no longer stuck on first later)

Sadly there is also NO UV triggered...  I can see the open/close shutters in the log but no light activation.

nanoDLP no longer crashes I can stop and start the print as expected.

so better, but still not useable ... sad

I saved a Debug file but must revert to the release again to use printer.
I can test further in about 8 hours....  If needed we can go live tomorrow for more rapid testing.

Thanks

oh and I checked; the shutter information is not changing when I move to the beta....

Re: SERIOUS issue in new beta....

hmmmm....not sure anymore. I want to say 3b+.  I got it just over a year ago so I think it was the last physical model
before the 4....software might be a bit older...

Is  there and easy way to tell without digging it out of the box...  via command line?

I'll google that....

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ cat /proc/device-tree/model

pi@raspberrypi:~ $

Not sure if this is helpful.....

Re: SERIOUS issue in new beta....

Thanks, could you try latest beta once more. Unfortunately I do not have hardware around to make sure it resolved locally.

Re: SERIOUS issue in new beta....

beta 2399 seems to have fixed the Shutter/LED
I will print something, however, the lcd calibration now activates the LEDs so I expect a regular print will as well.

I guess there is something about my still using Jessie?

Re: SERIOUS issue in new beta....

No, recent patch to fix compatibility issue with rpi4 broke gpio module. I guess we are safe until rpi5
