Serial motor controller. /dev/ttyAMA0 + MAX3232

Hi.

I have a motor controller I would like to control through RS232.
Can NanoDLP send serial Z-axis commands through the UART (/dev/ttyAMA0) to the suptronics X230 MAX3232 expansion board?
If not, is this a feature that could be added to the NanoDLP setup?

Regards

Thanks for the reply.

So I can enter: /dev/ttyAMA0 in the 3D Printer Board > USB/Serial Port Address field?
Only these are listed in the help menu:
/dev/ttyACM0
/dev/ttyACA0
/dev/ttyUSB0

Yes you can, but if it does not display it, it is not there!!

I'm not sure if I fully understand. Is it supported or is it not?
And how do I set up UART (GPIO 14/15) to control z-axis?

Re: Serial motor controller. /dev/ttyAMA0 + MAX3232

You can put everything on the input but the input field list all related tty devices so if you do not see /dev/ttyAMA0 on the list, it is not initialized.
You need to config OS to initialize it.
