Add more HW buttons

Hello,

Is there a way to add more HW buttons? For instance it would be convenient if I could use hardware up/down buttons for Z elevation fine tuning, rathen than doing mouse clicks on computer.

if you use ramps 1.4 + mega 2560
connect RepRapDiscount Smart Controller   or another for 3d printer
and all movements can be controlled

Well, currently I use exactly this setup - hardware buttons attached to arduino to control movements (though this is not RAMPS, just simple CNC Shield based solution).

But this is the only thing preventing me to switch to raspberry pi shield and controll everything from RPI

Try using python script and Exec keyword on nanodlp

How often NanoDLP will call my script? I mean a main loop should live somewhere.
If NanoDLP owns the main loop then there could be noticeable delays between user presses the button, and it is actually processed.

You you mean run an external process that polls puttons, and sends NanoDLP commands somehow (calling some URL)?
