Another 1884 corruption...

Everything was fine...I updated a couple weeks ago but had not used the printer since.
After a week or so I usually check for and apply updates as there is always good stuff happening.
I don't recall having a problem ever before.

but after the update I could not reconnect.
I tried a hard wire still can't see the pin on the network
tried a new pi with the nanoDLP card same thing.
tried another card in nano pi boots up fine

So I think my card got trashed somehow.
I have a lot of time in my various configurations.....is there any way to recover them?
The pi actually seems to boot but there is no network connection
I tried connecting to a std monitor and plugged in a mouse but nothing on the display
so not much I could do.

I pulled the card and I can read it from my computer....but I see only the boot partition of about 60MB
This is the same as my other pi cards so not surprising....but is there anyway to get to the data that might be stored
in some other area of the flash card?

Thanks

Re: Another 1884 corruption...

interesting followup....

I booted another pi from a standard Raspian configuration and put my nanodlp card in a usb flash reader....and plugged it into that pi
I can now see the full flash card....
maybe just the boot partition is messed-up
first can I copy stuff off the nanodlp partition and save it and somehow restore it to a fresh install?
or maybe can I somehow redo the boot partition or something to get the old system going again short of a total reinstall?

Re: Another 1884 corruption...

See if you could ping it or not.

If you want to move data out, just copy db and public/plates folders. Everything you have modified get saved there.

Re: Another 1884 corruption...

Can't ping when I try to boot from the original nanoDLP card.

From what the router tells me the pi never gets an IP address (DHCP).
I will look for the folders you mentioned....can you give me full paths?  is that /home/pi/public?  I do not have the machine in front of me  but I did
look through the /home/pi folder but do not recall seeing "public/plates" I do recall something like "db"

Can I do a fresh install of nanoDLP then copy in those two folders and just have it work like before?
That would be really nice assuming I can find those directories.

Thanks

Re: Another 1884 corruption...

If you cannot ping it, SD probably got corrupted.

/home/pi/printer/public/plates
/home/pi/printer/db

Sure you need to copy both folders. If the first one is not available, you would able to use previous plates.
