Beta Update Doesn't Download Correctly

I'm on build 1852, trying to update to 1856.

The built-in update method just causes the RPi to freeze until hard reset. Attempting to manually update (via (wget http://www.nanodlp.com/nanodlp.beta.tar.gz? -O - | tar -C /home/pi -xz);cd /home/pi/printer;sudo ./setup.sh) doesn't work either. The tar archive comes in under 1mb, and even attempting to manually unpack it yields an error about how the archive is damaged.

Any suggestions?

Re: Beta Update Doesn't Download Correctly

I think there is still something wrong with the latest beta (10/16/2018)  I just rebuilt my nanoDLP flash card got everything transferred over from my previous crash and all was well with 1852.  I was notified that there was an update available 1856 and tried to install it today..the result was again a corrupted flash card that will no longer boot.  It is not even ping-able... I will have to again rebuild and transfer my files but I think the latest beta has some issue at least in my use case.  Two corruptions immediately following the update (it never recovers from the update, it reboots then it is dead) is pretty conclusive to me that something is wrong or incompatible.  I have never had this issue before...prior updates might have required a power cycle to run properly but they have never failed to boot up as this update has done twice now.

Keep up the good work...nano is still my go to setup for resin printing.

Re: Beta Update Doesn't Download Correctly

NanoDLP upgrade process do replacing nanodlp binary and static files, also reboot system. So if the device is not ping-able, it is very unlikely replacing cause it maybe if you are using same SD card, reboot cause corruption.
If you could share more information, will try to investigate more.

Re: Beta Update Doesn't Download Correctly

Hi Shahin
yes indeed the beta version has problems
the browser does not open the nanodlp after the update
to recover only manually  through PuTTY >(wget http://www.nanodlp.com/nanodlp.beta.tar.gz -O - | tar -C /home/pi -xz);cd /home/pi/printer;sudo ./setup.sh
if upgrade to the latest stabile version.,update happens but writes again new version available
checked on 3 machines, the result is the same

Re: Beta Update Doesn't Download Correctly

Could you retry? I have updated the archive file.
