can we use USB to print?

can we save the stl format file in USB, insert the 3d Printer then start print directly?

I believe you can if you have a screen that will see the file. If not then no. The file system is maintained on the SD card. Initally the file system is limited until you expand the file system. That is accomplished in the set up menu. Once accomplished you will have the rest of the SD card to use as data storage. I do not know of a way to automatically transfer data on a usb to the SD card for use. Are you able to run a patch cable to the Raspberry pi or are you doing something else. If so then you should be able to just save it to the Pi.

Yes, just use add from usb button on plates page. It reads content of USB storage.
