Pixel wall in dimming not showing in layer slices

Hello All,

In the individual layers, .png files, shouldn't I be able to see the actual pixel wall if I view a layer in a graphics program such as Photoshop? I have my pixel wall set at 8 yet I see no wall. I just upgraded nanodlp today. I'm not sure a pixel wall is being applied.

Could you share your current output? Also what do you expect to see.

Re: Pixel wall in dimming not showing in layer slices

Hello,
As I understand it each layer is simply a .png graphics file. PNG files are view able in many graphics programs. I found the issue. When I applied a red blank area a pixel wall would not be applied, when I made the blank area black it would be applied. I can now see and examined the actual pixel wall and see the results in the print out. This is in build number 1819.

Thanks

It is right as dimming being done by reading pixels around.
Is there any reason why you use red instead of black?

Re: Pixel wall in dimming not showing in layer slices

Hello Shahin,
In the ? mark help file associated with the blank area, background color on the resin profile, it says red may preserve detail better. So I gave it a try.

Re: Pixel wall in dimming not showing in layer slices

I have forgotten that. Are you using white as fill color?

Re: Pixel wall in dimming not showing in layer slices

Yes I am using white as fill color. I am willing to change fill colors. I don't know how to measure the amount of UV being generated by the bulb and if any wavelength produces more or less, so changing color of fill light would just be guessing. I know that the shorter wavelengths of light (blue) penetrate our atmosphere easier than the longer ones, but how they penetrate any particular resin I'm clueless.

Re: Pixel wall in dimming not showing in layer slices

Hi Shahin,

I seem to be having this issue as well. When I copy a resin profile and make the changes in the advanced setting, upload the same file, the output on the monitor at least seems to be the same - not what is shown in the how to section of nano. Is this anything?

Build #2229
I'm using white and black,
tried 3,10,15 pixel walls thickness
I tried homogeneous and checkerboard at 20, 35, 50 and 70%
4 and 0 skip early dimming.

I don't note any difference while viewing the slices in the plate viewer

I got the same report, still not sure why it happens for some users. Please, let me know if you found anything could help to debug it.
