Z-Axis Height problem Direct control

Dear Shain
When I set Z-axis high position at 50000 pulse without setting bottom limit. The Z-axis moved down and might pass over the configuration which may affect the screen.
Besides that, I double pressed the moving button while the movement had not yet finished.  Nano DLP suddenly cleared the previous command and started off new command.  This kind of disruption might cause malfunction  to Z axis. I wonder If we can do it to allow added command to the processing program. Ex: click the 10mm button twice will lead the Z axis to move 20mm.

Hi

Both behavior are by design. Disruptions are totally managed on software side, number of pulses until now get counted and new command get executed.

Re: Z-Axis Height problem Direct control

You are right but hardcoded limit on number is not ideal for PDMS and other flexible floor. Do you have access to limit switches, by adding them you can prevent any possible issue as every time you restart the printer it could re-calibrate. Another solution could be weaker stepper motor or less current to it, to make sure it will easily stop when reach to floor.
