Projector Calibration - Implemented

Send a Layer to the Projector from the Plate Site. As example you can now show the layers on th webform a button with called sent to projector or something like this will help to calibrate the projector. I very often makes a Print with a 100x40x10 (LxWxH) and displays on the Projector. now you can measure the size more easy and set the correct parameters on the calibration settings.

Re: Projector Calibration - Implemented

Scherer,

Please, correct me if I am wrong. You want to display any layer from any plate on the projector?

Re: Projector Calibration - Implemented

Yes, i think its the moste easy way because of the resizing.
What i'm doing to Calibrate:
1. Upload a part with size 100mmx40mmx10mm as a plate
2. Turning the first layer to 30sec.
3. Lift the z-axis to have free access to the printing bottom
4. start print toshow the first layer
5. no i can easy meassuring the size as example 106.3mm with a paper ruler
I know that it have to be 100mm in lenght. now i can calculate the new xy resolution.
as example i had 70.45 microns for 100mm and my meassuring was 106.3mm. now i can calculate the new microns (70.45/100*106.3=74.41)
6. now i have to delete the plate and start again by point 1 if the size is not as good as it shold

To start printing i think is not so exciting to can meassure the size of the image. An start a normal print with resin is also no a good option for me.

The best an most luxury way is in my opinion:
To shorten this way aboth as example set the new x/y resolution and send the image to the projector without uploading as a new plate thats will be great.

Re: Projector Calibration - Implemented

I calibrate my own projectors without printing by doing steps below:

1. Put piece of paper in tank
2. Turn boundaries on from projector calibration page
3. Draw two line on sides of rectangle by pen
4. Take it out, measure and draw new lines where it should be.
5. Put paper into tank, try to align with previous lines. Do zooming to overlap light on new lines.

If you think printing could give a better result, let me know. I could add your last suggestion to the program.

Re: Projector Calibration - Implemented

Hi all, I agree with CADPrint, the measure prints method looks like a better way to use as much surface as possible in our printers. It would be great to implement that function on NanoDLP too.

Re: Projector Calibration - Implemented

Usually you print just one frame or you need whole cube to be printed?

Re: Projector Calibration - Implemented

Shahin,

I fully agree with your way for the calibration. It's a little more complicated but will work also. And i can live with this two ways (your's and my one) very good.

For me i just need only one layer to do the calibration

Eaven if you take a size of your frame size with a paper some time different resin have a diferent shrinkage it will be very dificult to find the perfect size between your drawing and the part that you are printed for many reason ( minor errors with mesuring , resin shrinkage , a minimal light bleeding can cause a minimal difference in size) so you should have a calibration rectangle for example you print a rectangle (40×20 mm) for 10 or 20 layer and you compaire size of the print with your original drawing size and in the calibration option you will adjust the xy resolution from the built platform size . Creation workshop have this option and it is verry important .
